Three fantastic wins for the men’s teams last weekend.

The 1sts made 328-3 v Wivenhoe, thanks to yet another century by Will Spicer. A good all-round bowling performance kept Wivenhoe to 202-9.

At the Heath, Ipswich made a huge 310-6 against the 2nds. The Green reply started well, then Jack Axon (93*) and Torin Kyte  (92*) put on an unbroken stand of 172. Torin’s ability to put the ball in the trees and turn unlikely twos into threes was amazing to watch.

There were fewer fireworks on Sunday but a victory that was just as impressive. Batting first the Sunday XI made 207-9 against Gt Waltham. A combination of tight bowling, good catching, energetic fielding and excellent captaincy by Will restricted Great Waltham to 201-9. Dev Agrawal’s 5-55 earned him the match ball.
