The 1st XI mounted a heroic response to Nowton’s impressive 272-4 last Saturday. Ollie Mewis (102) and captain Joe Young (64) led the way but the Green eventually fell just 28 short. Nowton commented on our excellent reply to such a big total, the quality of the wicket (well done, Craig!), and the positive spirit in which the whole game was played. Thanks to Rachel Watson for providing tea at the drop of a hat, and well done to all concerned.

The 2nd XI are at home to Coggeshall tomorrow. We have a stronger side out so are hoping for our first win. The bar will be open from 1pm and all support from parents, ex-players and friends of the club is very much welcome.
