Eight Ash Green Cricket Club News story

Cricket may be back!

18 Jun 2020

Good news! With the gradual easing of lockdown, we hope that recreational cricket can start in the not-too-distant future. The ECB and leagues will be making plans for when government restrictions are sufficiently relaxed. More news when we get it.

Back in April Richard Parker asked us all to pay a reduced subscription this year. As well as paying the bills (rates etc.), this would help us to maintain the ground in good condition during lockdown, pay for the tree to be cut down that was causing subsidence in the pavilion, and invest in a new roller for the square. Many thanks to everyone who has responded so far – senior subs income to date is over £1300. Our target is £1960.

If you haven’t paid yet and can afford to do so (we realise not everyone may be in a position to), you can pay online. The reduced rates for seniors are £80 (adults) and £40 (students/unemployed). You will be helping to ensure the financial security of the club and the improvement of facilities.

Thanks in anticipation of your support. The Committee look forward to welcoming you back to the Heath for cricket in the not-too-distant future.

Best wishes

Tim Chambers (EAGCC Committee)
