GreenPiece - Platinum Party This Saturday!

02 May 2018

1's at home and we have our Platinum Party!

Nacton Rained Off

Sadly due to the wet pitch the 1's could not play on Saturday vs Nacton, the game was cancelled and 5 points went to each team. They do however play their first home game this Saturday against Mildehall III's and your support would be greatly appreciated!

2's Lose to Harwich

In horrible conditions the 2's sadly came second best against recent opponents Harwich II's.  A solid 38 from Jonathan Purser and 35 from skipper Richard Polley was not enough to post a strong total on a wet and miserable day in Harwich. The pitch conditions playing a large part with the ball barely rolling of the square, EAG posted 95 off the 30 overs which Harwich made comfortably in the 18th over. The 2's can go up and support the 1's this Saturday as they have no fixture this weekend.

Platinum Party!

As mentioned before our Platinum season kicks off with the Platinum Party! The Bar will be open from midday. The cricket begins at 13:00 and food will be available at 7pm in time for the Life Members Board unveiling at 8.00pm.   We look forward to seeing lots of old faces for this very special occasion! If you come to only one event this summer this is the one. We will have the award-winning Colchester Brewery AKA Pale Beer on tap for you all to enjoy. Don’t forget to bring your EAGCC ALE LOYALTY CARDS a perfect time to get stamping!

Family Day a Huge Success!

Thanks to Sam Collins, the parents & helpers who battled through a muddy Sunday morning at the green to deliver great fun & food to over 60 children and parents! We are still waiting for all the results to come in but congratulations to Charlie Randall for winning the junior catching competition & Matt Parker for winning the senior. Again thanks to everyone who came and all who were involved to make it such a special day!
