2018 Season starts here

05 Oct 2017

Work has already started in preparation for the 2018 season, after gathering information from a number of experts, a decision was made by the committee to undertake a major pitch renovation. The initial work was completed this week, it involved removing soil and levelling the square (known as korrowing) , reseeding the whole square and applying loam. Over 20 plus tons of soil was removed and the operation was spread over two days, thanks to Mick Purser for coordinating the operation with korrowing expert Bury Turf and the removal of the excess soil. Thanks also must go to Kemsley Robb @ KCR Cricket who did all the end of season work: scarifying, fertilising, over seeding & putting up the fence around the square.  This is the first of a number of plans the club has to enhance the playing and pavilion facilities for club members.
