Eight Ash Green Cricket Club News story

**EAGCC Weekly Newsletter**

29 Jun 2017

Good Morning Greenies!

Again our Weekly Newsletter* continues as we look forward and reflect on this week!

SENIOR SECTION: The Saturday 1's won in unlikely circumstances against Nacton on the 24th. Defending a measly 135 strike bowlers Jake Harris & Matt Parker saw them bowled all out for 71! Ensuring the green push forward for promotion this year! More importantly  the Sunday XI recorded their first win! With GH&L only needing 14 runs with 5 wickets to spare! Sure enough after the departure of G. Laitt the floodgates opened as GH&L only managed to put on 4 runs for their remaining wickets. Meaning the Sunday 1's won by 10 runs!

The 1's are at home this week vs Earl Stonham so any support will be appreciated  as we continue our charge forward. The 2's tackle Boxted away in the local derby!

YOUTH SECTION: The U11's enjoyed a 20 run victory over Gt Totham on Friday thanks to a handy 18 from Jack Axon & 3 wickets! All bowlers finishing with healthy economies! For more youth news please submit your match reports on the website!

WOMEN'S SECTION: Game was cancelled

QUIZ NIGHT RESCHEDULED.  This will now happen on Saturday 8th of July so make sure you book your team’s places.  The cricket themed quiz takes on 6 ball overs for questions, you can hit 6’s and 4’s (unless Neil Brinded of course) and other exciting innovations.  Don’t miss it!

JACK PETCHEY.  Nominations please for JP awards.  Just 'Reply' naming anyone aged under 25 who you think deserves recognition and why.   This must all be sorted by 30 June!  Thank you.

MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD Now sponsored by Colchester Brewery!  Every Senior game now has an official 'Man of the Match' with bottle of beer and promotional picture.  Alcohol alternatives for youth and others of course!
