The first ever Family Open Morning at Eight Ash Green Cricket Club attracted over 80 participants for a fun-filled morning of sport and entertainment.
The day started with a warm-up session that blew the Friday night cobwebs away. This was followed with entertaining Kwik Cricket matches featuring youths of all ages and many over-eager parents.
The EAG Catching Competition was up next with James (senior) and Otto (junior) winning their respective competitions. A variety of other sports were played leading up to a hilarious egg-throwing event where everyone ended up with egg on their face (and clothes) - except for Ethan and Connor who took the first prize. A Family Relay ended the proceedings and everyone departed having had an excellent morning's entertainment.
Special thanks to Active Essex, Community Fund and the helpers who made the day possible.
It was great to see so many new faces and we look forward to welcoming new youth and adult players at our club. For more information on playing for EAG please get in touch here.
