The end of the season is slowly drawing in, and as sad as that is, it does mean we have some more light-hearted fixtures in our cricketing calendar to look forward to!
Having enjoyed a highly exciting and close battle against a touring Rayleigh side, where it came down to the last over, the mighty Green welcome back our annual visitors the Essex Police Vets on Wednesday 24th of August, followed by the second of (hopefully!) many Luke Keeble's Golden Generation clashes vs Tommy Lissimore's Club XI on Sunday 28th of August. Unfortunately last years Police Vets game was rudely cancelled due to the weather, but our Golden boys more than made up for it with a fantastic day of cricket and an even more fantastic evening at the bar.
Both of these games are up and running on the website so PLEASE UPDATE YOUR AVAILABILITY! It makes picking the teams a whole lot less stressful and means we can focus on the important issues of who's doing the tea/working the bar.
Even if you are unable to attend in a playing capacity, make sure you get down and watch! Those who were at the Rayleigh game will be able to tell the tale of a memorable knock for years to come...
