EAGCC U14s won their division again this year but missed out on an unbeaten season with a final defeat away at Frinton.  Full match report in fixtures.  End of Season report to follow. 

Many thanks to David Drake and colleagues at Cunningtons Solicitors who have kindly picked up the not insubstantial bill for this year's Youth Trophies for the third year running.  Much appreciated by all club members. 

All club members are very welcome to join our esteemed Youth Chairman for a barbie and a beer or ten to celebrate his **th birthday on Saturday 24 July.

The Under 11 zone 1 team stumbled to an unassailable position in the league with an unconvincing victory over a young but talented Kelvedon team. Jamie won the toss again and asked Kelvedon to bat first. During the innings Kelvedon lost 10 wickets with Dom Purser being the pick of the bowlers claiming 3 victims in the total of 222.

In reply EAG lost regular wickets leaving the scores level when the final pair went to the wicket. Dom Purser and Sam Clark negotiated the final four overs with great skill to score 11 thus ensuring victory.

The U13s beat Colchester and North Essex Cricket Club for the second time this season, last week.  EAG came close to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory after Colchester put on 49 runs for the last wicket.  However, some good bowling and some sharp fielding saw the visitors emerge victorious.

James Parker scores 63 at Mistley.  Capt. Cryne leads team superbly to snatch victory, taking two wickets himself.  Purser Bros. bolster depleted team.  Elliot Drage bowls four overs for only 10 runs.  Dom Blanchard takes spectacular catch.  Toby Edwards scores 6 not out on debut.
