JACK PETCHEY AWARDS 2013

Matthew Norris – Age 20 Matthew is always the first to games, helps set up, clean up and pack away at the end. He also championed and made sure that others attended senior training sessions while the coach was on holiday The money will be spent on specific bowling coaching to take place during the off season

Jack Smith – Age 20 Jack has re joined the club after a period of absence and has proven himself that people do deserve a second chance. He joins in fully with training and encourages others to improve their game The money will be spent on a batting coach for the youth players  

Nippuna Ukwatte – Age 23 Since passing his driving test Nippuna has been the first point of call for all young players requiring lifts. He is also helping out the older players and paying back all the times that they have given him lifts in the past The money will be spent on purchasing tickets to attend the Essex Cricket week that takes place in Colchester in August. Many youth members will benefit.  

Charlie Lovejoy – Age 16 Charlie is always willing to help out with jobs around the club whenever asked. He has umpired for all age groups and trains with seniors and the youth section. Charlie's bowling statistics this year have been excellent The money is going to towards the food and refreshments to be served at the Clubs annual cricket week. This will be attended by all youth teams and local invited teams.
