Senior player registration takes place tomorrow (Sunday) between 3.00pm and 3.30pm at Holmwood House.

If training please bring payment.  If not training please come up anyway with payment!  Many thanks.

Platinum Party Preparations!

Plans are taking shape for our Platinum Season celebrations.  

The first date for your diary is SATURDAY APRIL 14th with a PLATINUM LAUNCH PARTY straight after our first home game against Elmstead Market. 

In preparation, Senior nets start THIS SUNDAY so get your kit out the loft and come on down at the new times of 3-5.

No... Senior Nets is not a Mexican fisherman 

Better news: Senior Nets returns with a new time! 

The sessions begin on Sunday the 18th of Feb 3-5PM @ Holmwood House Sports Hall

The sessions will run through to April the 4th except Sunday the 1st of March 

Invitation emails will be sent before the Sunday and we ask you to let us know if you are coming, this helps plan the session.

It will be the same prices as last year £4 for seniors & £3 for student/ unemployed. 

Kem will be coaching us again so it won't just be bowling for two hours!

If you know someone who will also like to play then bring them along!

We look forward to seeing you all back!

Essex call up for youth

In the run-up to Christmas, whilst most people were out buying presents, Essex were running their youth District trials and EAG CC were well represented at all levels.

We've been lucky enough to have a District representative selected at U15 level for the past three years and those players are now core to our adult teams. A real testament to our youth coaching.

The District squads have not been announced yet for this year - but Essex have selected their U11 Girls squad and Sophie Spicer, a key part of EAG CC kwik cricket team last year, has been called up to the Essex squad for 2018 - an incredible achievement!

Well done Sophie and good work EAG coaches!

I hope you had a peaceful Christmas and are ready for an exciting PLATINUM year at The Green!  Yes, it's our SEVENTIETH SEASON so look forward to a bumper summer of cricket and celebrations. 

The champagne corks were popping already at the Hammond Household as skipper Keith Henry FINALLY popped the question to El  - his lovely and VERY patient partner of many years.  The reply was positive so the first great result of the season! 

On a sadder note we said goodbye to Jim Mayes (above) who was not only a great friend of the club and regular umpire but father & father-in-law to Carol and Richard Polley respectively.  He passed away over Christmas and will be much missed.
