Match report Good win for seconds at West Bergholt, tight bowling early on by Ed Lambert Clarke restricted WB's scoring and he completed his 13 over spell with figures of 2-21, Matt Parker was as mean at the end of the innings taking 2-13 off 6 overs at the death. Openers Mewis and Polley set about the target by attacking at every opportunity and put on 87 for the first wicket, after Ollie Mewis was out for 47 Duncan Wyatt and James Plummer took the Green to victory with a stand of 58 and 6 overs to spare, James winning the Colchester Brewery Man of the Match with an impressive 39 not out which included 7 fours.

James Plummer MoM

James Plummer confirmed his emergence from the EAG Youth Academy with an excellent 38 not out to help end West Bergholt’s unbeaten record with an 8 wicket win on Saturday. James was deservedly Colchester Brewery Man of the Match and receives his Metropolis from El Presidenté who clearly needs to get some club kit for Christmas.
