Long Melford v Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Redundant5 on Tue 14 Jul 2009 at 18.00
Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost by 21 runs

Match report EAG lost the toss & were asked to bat first. We got to 257 from our 16 overs with top scorers being Ben Kelland on 23 & Edmund O'Donnell on 16. This was not a bad score as we were playing on an artificial pitch & most boys found the extra bounce difficult to deal with. Unfortunately we lost 7 wickets, 5 of which could have beeen avoided.
Long Melford scored 278 for the loss of 3 wickets. We were still in the game until the last pair put on 34 runs to seal a deserved victory.Best bowling figures from Thomas Potter with 3-1 & Sam Atkinson with 4-1.
We bowled too many wides, dropped a couple of easy catches & missed some definite run out chances. This was a match we could have won!
