Match report The 3rd win this season for the under 15's came against Boxted at home.

Boxted won the toss and put Eight Ash Green into bat. Troy and myself opened the batting. Although we both found it difficult to score, we batted well to put on 69 for the first wicket. Troy Collins was out for 16 in the 13th over trying to up the run rate. Calum Barber then walked in at number 3 and made batting look very easy, putting pressure back onto Boxted by scoring 5 fours and running hard between the wickets. Eight Ash Green finished on 136-1 with Calum scoring a well played 34* and myself scoring 62*.

Eight Ash Green would then try to defend this total against a varied batting line up. Calum bowled well to remove both openers in the first over. The Boxted batting line up were always behind the run rate. Troy Collins got the key wicket of Harris (32) and after that wickets fell at regular intervals. After several asks Ellis McLaughlan finally agreed to bowl and bowled really really well. He was the pick of the bowlers picking up 2 wickets for 9 runs in his first bowl for the under 15's. Another special mention goes to Tom Lee who, on the last ball of the innings, dived full stretch to save a certain boundary. Tom was not finished there, he quickly jumped up to throw down the stumps and run out the batsman.

A great game for all involved, with everyone contributing something to the team's win. Thank you also for everyone who helped with umpiring, scoring and teas.
