Match report Winning the toss EAG batted first & reached 107 for 6 after 20 overs. Top score was Ollie Lovejoy with 38, George Fenning batted very well at the end of the innings to finish 28 n.o.
Braintree's innings got off to a slow wicket filled start, 5 overs 8 for 3. Some solid batting from Walton, one of worlds tallest 13 year olds & too many extras, especially byes allowed Braintree to finish on 71 for 9 in their 20 overs.Alex Johnson was best of the bowlers with 3 wickets for 4 runs off 3 overs.7 bowlers were used.
Well done to the team on a good start to the season, many thanks to Mick Purser for scoring. Probably could do with an umpire who can count, although a bowler will never mind bowling a ball or two extra if they get a wicket. Thanks PJ.
