Match report No better place to be after a fascinating first day of the 2013 Ashes than at a sunny Fordham Heath.
Abberton won the toss & chose to bat first. A good start for the Green having Abberton 16 for 2 in the 4th over. Some good batting from Devereaux, 15 wides & some poor fielding allowed Abberton to reach 113 for 4 off 20 overs. Best bowler was Spicer with 2 for 18 off 4 overs.
Unfortunately we lost our 1st wicket in the 1st over, however Wroe & Sam Bowles consolidated the innings with a 29 run partnership & we finished with 64 for 7 off 20 overs.Some good shots were produced but some good bowling & fielding by Abberton gave them a good win.
Again well tried by all players & many thanks to all parents who helped with scoring & tea.
