Match report At a soggy Chappel, EAG U15s played a close fought match which was only decided with the penultimate ball.

The visitors failed to post a big enough score, with only Charlie Lovejoy and Calum McDonald displaying any batting ability. Charlie picked his shots well, ably supported by brave Calum.

As a better bowling side, EAG were still in with a chance. Once the openers had gone, Taylor to a fantastic catch by Matthew Parker at mid-wicket, and Bolton to a straight one from Josef Shone, anything was possible. Matt Wadling took two excellent catches, one at mid-off and a better one as wicket keeper. Sadly, with too many extras and one fielder too few, EAG could not afford to concede boundaries. Captain Cryne did an excellent job, keeping wicket for 8 overs, bowling for 4 and manipulating the field to take this game right to the death. Jack Cousins hit four with one ball to spare.
