Match report EAG won the toss & elected to bowl. The innings didn't quite go to plan. Although some of the bowling was very good our catching & some of the fielding was very very poor. Colchester finished on 170 for 2, both wickets taken by Jonathan Purser in the 6th over.Ollie Lovejoy bowled excellently but without any luck.
EAG innings started well, most batsmen got a start but no one could go on & dominate as Chapman & Austin did for Colchester. We finished 105 for 8, top score & well batted Ethan Ward who also covered for the injured Charlie Cresswell behind the stumps.
If we had taken a couple of the many catches we put down this match could have been a lot closer. It is true catches do win matches or in our case, dropped catches loose matches.
