Eight Ash Green Cricket Club U14 v Halstead on Sun 12 Jun 2011 at 10.00am
Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost by 59 runs

Match report EAG were again outplayed by a handful of terrific Halstead cricketers. The home team's bowling was often too short and the fielding was lacklustre. Chances came but were too frequently squandered. Charlie Lovejoy bowled a beauty in his third over to dismiss the opening bat.

Matthew Wadling receives a mention for a sharp catch, tracking back to eventually take the ball high above his head, well done. Sam Pace, having bowled four very good overs, then opened the EAG innings, chasing a massive 162 runs to win. He top scored with 37 runs, a notable achievement. Fergus Nightingale played a secure innings for 25 runs, another positive contribution having kept wicket admirably well. Eliott Cryne also looked in touch with the bat, before being caught on 15.

Well done to all players for an enjoyable game.
