Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Won by 60 runs

Match report We lost the toss(again)& were asked to bat. Charlie Cresswell went early, but Alex Johnson & Ollie Lovejoy put on 91 runs in 10 overs & Johnathan Purser chipped in at the end of the innings. Ollie top scored with 84 not out, Alex scored a good 35, Jonathan was run out off the last ball for 26. We finished on 176 for 3 after 20 overs.
Clacton were never in the hunt, needing 9 an over. They lost 2 wickets in the 5th over, but batted sensibly to finish their 20 overs on 116 for 4. All players except Charlie Cresswell behind the stumps got a bowl. Wickets were taken by Ward, Parratt & Doherty. Eddie O'Donnell & Charlie Cresswell combined in a good run out. Jamie Murray(back from injury) took a good catch, but we missed a few sharp chances & some of the ground fielding needs improving.
A good win by 60 runs.
