Match report A good win first up.
Jonathan Purser led well, scoring 73 not out in our innings of 122 for 4 after 20 overs. He was well supported by Charlie Cresswell who finished 17 not out. Unfortunatey the batsmen who lost their wickets all bought about their own downfall, either by hitting the ball in the air or not getting behind the ball & getting bowled.
We took the field confident that if we bowled tightly we could win this match. Although we dropped a couple of catches, the ground fielding was good, communication in the field was very supportive & the bowling was generally straight.Coggeshall finished on 107 for 4 wickets after their 20 overs. Dominic Purser was the most successful bowler with 3 overs, 2 wickets for 8 runs, Eddie O'Donnell got 1 wicket for 12 runs off 2 overs. There was also an easy run out with a good throw from Richard Nolan. Charlie Cresswell did some neat work behind the wickets.
Well done to all players for contributing to a well earned win. Bring on Colchester next week.
