Match report Another five wicket win for the Academy XI, Braintree were not the strongest opposition the Green have faced this season, but having elected to bowl, they struggled for wickets early on. Once Jack had broke the opening partnership and Jens athletic fielding had forced a run out, further inroads into the Braintree batting were by Stephen Nunn who took 3 wickets and Jack a further three. Ali Maitland on his return to the side finished off the innings by taking the last two wickets and Braintree were dismissed for 122 in 38 overs.

In the Greens reply Tom Aston contributed an eventful 25 which also saw him involved in the run outs of Will and Jens. Tom Lissimore steadied the innings with 31 not out and along with Richard Polley completed a comfortable victory for the Green inside 23 overs.
