Scorecard

Coggeshall Town CC v Eight Ash Green Cricket Club U14 on Tue 23 Jun 2015 at 18.00
Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Lost by 100 runs

Match report EAG won the toss & asked Coggeshall to bat. Generally our bowling was straight & of a good length, some of the fielding was good, some terrible & a couple of dropped catches really did cost us lots of runs. There are still a couple of players who are scared of the ball or use their feet. Good fielding technique can be learnt & practised by anyone, dropped catches do lose matches.
Spicer, S.Bowles, Woodnott & Collins took wickets.
EAG lost an early wicket but Spicer, S.Bowles & Woodnott batted well but chasing 185 was never going to be easy. We finished on 84 for 7 after 20 overs. Well done to Mark Liversidge on stepping up to the U14's & offering to open the batting. Somewhere in the middle order might be a little easier in future games.
Although we lost by 100 runs the boys did not let themselves down. Keep up the good work at training.
