Match report The U12s bounced back from defeat on Thursday to clinch this thrilling match against a talented Mistley side.

Dominic Rice and James Parker opened the batting and were scoring at a rate of 6 per over until Dom played and missed at one that pitched outside off stump and hit the top of leg. James carried on with Fraser Clayson until retiring with an unbeaten 28. Sam Pace repeated the feat, hitting six fours along the way. Fraser was bowled to a ball that bounced twice, finishing on 12, Matt Parker was out the same way for 2. Charlie Cresswell then played a good delivery straight to mid-wicket off his first ball. Matthew Parker and Eliotts Drage and Cryne batted well at the end of EAG's innings, adding 8 runs for the last two overs.

Rain interupted Mistley's innings, making things difficult for the bowling side. Wickets fell in the third and fourth overs but some short bowling and excellent batting saw the visitors pile on the runs. J Cullum and Evers retired after top-scoring, leaving the rest of the batsmen to score 43 runs from only 11 overs. Matt Parker took two wickets in one over, then some tight bowling and enthusiastic fielding limited the run-rate significantly. Charlie Cresswell, Ben Kelland and Dominic Blanchard all bowled brilliantly. Wickets continued to fall until J Cullum returned to the crease needing 13 runs from the last three balls.
