Match report On a freezing night in Clacton the under 16s opened the league campaign with a comfortable 6 wicket victory. The foundation for the win was an outstanding bowling performance, backed up by eight catches. All bowlers used bowled well with the outstanding performance coming from Keiron Smith who returned figures of 4-21.

When the Green batted there was an early cause for concern when openers Keeble and Lennard-Jones both fell cheaply, however a significant stand between the Jacks, Airey (21 not out) and Smith (15)saw the Green to within sight of the target. Despite losing a couple of late wickets the Green won with four overs to spare.
