Eight Ash Green Cricket Club U15 v EAG Women on Tue 31 Jul 2018 at 6pm
Eight Ash Green Cricket Club Won U15 won by 4 runs

Match report Eight Ash Green's cricket week got off to a great start on Tuesday 31 July with an epic tussle between EAG Women and our Under 15 team.

The U15's won the toss and elected to bat first. Tidy bowling restricted them to 117-4 off 20 overs with Georgina Barnard (on debut) and Millie Green the pick of the bowlers. Six U15 batsmen got into double figures but none went on to make a big score.

The Women struggled with the bat in their reply and were 37-5 at the halfway stage. Then Capt. Cutter, Mrs Wide and Nun, Steve rose to the challenge in an exciting flurry of runs that left the Women needing 4 runs to tie off the last ball. One dot ball later and the U15 had won, just.

The game was followed with an excellent BBQ and much chatter. A great fun start to the week.
