Eight Ash Green Academy XI maintained their perfect start to the season with a convincing win against Braintree III. Winning the toss "Warney Pops" put them in on the slightly moist track.

Nippy opened the bowling and built the pressure from the very start, although his first spell didn't take any wickets he went for just 8 runs off his first 7 overs, he ended the day with 3 wickets after coming back and it was no less than he deserved, narrowly missing out on a hat trick after a hard chance was dropped.
Great spells from the Nunn brothers, Paul Johnson, Matthew Murray and Matt Norris restricted Braintree to just 91.

Will Shearman and Stephen Nunn opened the batting an put on a brilliant 85 before Nunn was bowled. Nippy came in and let a full toss trap him leg before, but Paul Johnson and Will ensured the most unlikely of collapse didn't happen and the Green left with another 20 points.
