Match report The U14s maintained their 100% record this season with a 7 wicket win over Witham.

The Green fielded first and got off to a great start when Josh bowled the Witham opener with the first ball of the match. The bowling was again of a very high standard as Witham were restricted to 54 - 6 off their 20 overs. Matt P (2) Matt D and Isaac took the other wickets.

The Green's innings got off to a similar start to the Witham one with Duncan being bowled first ball of the innings and they were in a spot of trouble at 6 - 3 in the 4th over. However Isaac joined Nathan and both batted sensibly to put on a 50 partnership to see the Green to victory in the 13th over.

Coaches Comments! Yes, another great start where accurate bowling and silly shots by our opponents left a small total to chase. We should have got the (very young ... years 6 & 7!) batsmen out but they batted very sensibly. Our batting looked fragile against good pace and spin and we need to work on this. Another great TEAM effort but Witham had better-coached INDIVIDUAL skills - especially leg-spin & wicket keeping - and we need to do likewise. RP.
